Thu Cuc Hospital welcomes the Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam
In the afternoon of April 20th 2016, Cuban Ambassador, Sir Herminio Lo’pez Di’az, and his embassy staffs in Vietnam had a working visit to Thu Cuc International General Hospital and attended a meeting with Thu Cuc Hospital’s leaders
The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes Cuba as one of the countries with advanced medical technology and best healthcare system in the world. This island country is also the country having the highest average life expectancy among Latin America region (78 years old).
Cuba is one of the countries which has a large number of medical staff attending foreign medical cooperation programs up to approximately 30,000 people and among these nearly 15,000 are doctors. These Cuban health professionals are working in 66 countries in Latin America, Asia and Africa, of which 40 countries are under the charitable partner program of supporting people with the implementation of hygiene practices for treatment and prevention of infectious diseases, etc.
Through this working visit, Thu Cuc Hospital desires to get support from Cuban Ambassador and build up a long-term cooperation with Cuba in the future, continuing the promotion of friendly relationship between the 2 countries as well as good traditions which has been developed by the 2 nations since the old days.
