Thu Cuc International General Hospital and Cuba sign cooperation agreement
In the afternoon of March 16th, the signing ceremony of professional cooperation between Cuban Ministry of Health and Thu Cuc International General Hospital took place at Thu Cuc Hospital.
The ceremony in the presence of Mrs. Marica Cobas Ruiz – Deputy Minister of Public Health of the Republic of Cuba, Mr. Herminio Lopez Diaz- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in Vietnam, Mrs. Tran Thi Nhi Ha – Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Health, Mr. Le Tuyen Hong Duong – Medical Director of Thu Cuc International General Hospital, Mrs. Vu Thanh Giang – CFO of Thu Cuc Medical and Beauty JSC.
Accordingly, Thu Cuc International General Hospital and Cuban Ministry of Health signed professional cooperation on many items with the prominent cooperation in the introduction of Cuban doctors to Thu Cuc Hospital and promotion of cooperation in Obstetrics, Orthopedics, and other spearhead medical specialties.
Mrs. Marcia Cobas Ruiz- Deputy Minister of Health of Republic of Cuba said: “After long stressful days of working, we have achieved common agreements. I am longing for the day that the Cuban doctors could come to Vietnam and join the team of Thu Cuc Hospital doctors. And I am sure we will expand the cooperation in the future. Hopefully, the cooperation between Thu Cuc Hospital and The Cuban Ministry of Health will mark an important milestone in medical cooperation of the two countries”.
“This is a great priority of Cuban Government to promote the relationship between Vietnam and Cuba. All upcoming collaborative activities will be to the benefit of both parties. I believe that the collaboration with Thu Cuc International General Hospital will be expanded and developed” said Mr. Herminio Lopez Diaz- Deputy Minister of Health of Republic of Cuba also.
Cuba is one of countries with a rapidly growing and modern healthcare system. Cuba’s life expectancy is among the world’s highest with the average age of 78 years. Cuba is also aiming to promote health cooperation with all countries around the world. So far, Cuba has established cooperative relationship with 64 countries worldwide.
Family practitioner, primary care, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, vaccine manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, anticancer drugs and so on are the prominent strengths of Cuban medicine, based on which, Vietnam and Cuba can promote the cooperation in the near future.
“Thu Cuc International Hospital is one of the major private hospitals in Hanoi. As a matter of fact, to facilitate the comprehensive development of hospital reaching international standard, it is necessary to focus on professional collaboration in highly skilled human resources and cutting-edge technology with countries of modern health care in the world. I hope that, after the ceremony, Thu Cuc Hospital would gain more chances to get access to the advanced healthcare system of Cuba, applying these in medical examination and treatment in the Hospital. The Hanoi Health Department will create all the favorable conditions to support the cooperation between the two parties” Ms Tran Thi Nhi Ha stated.
Mr. Le Tuyen Hong Duong- Medical Director of Thu Cuc International General Hospital expressed the belief that this signing ceremony between Thu Cuc Hospital and Cuban Ministry of Health would make a promising beginning, bringing opportunities to Thu Cuc Hospital to continue cultivating and offering high quality healthcare services to people all over country.
